During the recording of the pavement condition, the operator with using the equipment named ROADMASTER-G record the pavement defects and failures on the road with continuous speed (up to 20-30 km/h).
During the survey 16 types of casing defects can be defined assigning the GPS coordinates, by visual sensing. When recognizing a pavement failure, with pushing the right button the machine save the error code and the de-watering rate, which can be 1 (good), 2 (correct), or 3 (incorrect).
Before starting the measurement, a schedule should be drawn up to determine the most economical, most optimal measurement path. After the plan has been drawn up, the measurements should be start in Spring. After the measurements and the data quality check, the incorrect datas should be correct, than the data processing can be start.
Qualification of the pavement conditions
The data processing, the qualifying of the condition, the rating, uploading the master database with status level indicators is done with the OKA2000 Roadmaster subsystem.
During the processing, the following status level indicators are defined:
- Pavement condition marks
- Pothole [pcs/km]
- Shrinking, decaying surface [%]
- Inaccuracy of the edge of the pavement [m2/km]
- All fractures [%]
After the data synchronization the processed data files can be obtained from the OKA2000 master database.
